How to Reach Shimla

Due to situated on the foothills of Himalayas, there is connectivity of flight and trains not possible. The major railway stations and Airport are having lot of distance, so the tourist mostly prefer the way by road. In this transportation, personal vehicle, Bus and Taxi are available.

By Bus or Taxi

Mainly, entire places and location of Himchal Pradesh is connected with bus and local travelling vehicle. For tourist, you can choose the bus option, if travelling with a group. Taxi is also preferred one for the small group. You can easily get vehicle from any of the place, because the buses are run between 7 am to 9 pm for every destination. Delhi and Chandigarh are the nearest major city from there, you can get this vehicle.

By Train

The nearest railway station from Shimla is Kalka, from there you will get a toy train. It is completely a different experience for everyone. Major railway station from Shimla is Chandigarh. But again from Chandigarh you have to take bus or car to reach Shimla.

Well, according to the data Jubbarhatti Airport is the nearest airport from Shimla. It is around having a distance of 30 km but it works during the time of special occasions only. So, the second nearest airport from Shimla is Chandigarh and third nearest is Delhi. Both are the international airport, so you can reach there easily.

Shimla is perfect to visit throughout the year. Every person is having own choice and they can visit this during any time of the year.
